Mery J. Peña Guzmán

Mery J. Peña Guzman is a medical doctor graduated from the National University of Colombia with more than 16 years of clinical experience in mental health, harm reduction, and supporting vulnerable populations. Since 2019, she has been working in the field of cannabis-based medicines and is a founding member and secretary of the Clinical Society of Endocannabinology. She is currently part of the medical team at Clínica Synaptica, where she participates in ketamine-assisted interventions for treatment-resistant depression. She has also worked in emergency care within community mental health and collaborates on international training initiatives regarding endocannabinoid and psychedelic medicine. Her practice integrates clinical rigor, a humanistic approach, and a commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine.
