Call for Abstracts: Selected Presenters
Ryan Chapelle
Ryan Chapelle is a student in the Master of Arts in Psychedelics and Consciousness Studies programme at the University of Ottawa and a Clinical Research Assistant (practicum) at FlowState Therapy in Ottawa, Ontario, a community-based clinic that provides ketamine-assisted psychotherapy using intramuscular (IM) dosing.
His work centres on the lived experience of altered states: he collects and analyses phenomenological data both inside and outside clinical settings. He is currently involved in several research projects on IM ketamine-assisted therapy dosing practices and on the phenomenology of ayahuasca experiences.
At FlowState Therapy he is conducting quality-assurance research, gathering patient data on the sustained effects of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KaP), with the goal of informing KaP protocols through an evidence-informed, patient-centred approach.
At the KAP Summit he presents, together with Dulcie Thomson and colleagues from the University of Ottawa, “The Complexities and Limitations of a Dose-by-Weight Approach to Ketamine Therapy: An Exploration of Ketamine Practitioners’ Intramuscular Dosing Practices”.
